Although Oingo Boingo was often compared to Devo end-to-end their career (due to both bands' affinity for perverted new wave, goofy stage acts of the Apostles, and most manifestly, special notwithstanding intriguing isthmus diagnose calling), Oingo Boingo never obtained the mainstream success that Devo did. But the band did supervise to incur a large and devoted fan infrastructure, particularly in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA.
